RACERSITES.COM has developed a fully functional Spanish language microsite for Chip Ganassi Racing. The launch of the microsite comes just a few weeks after the announcement that Columbian-born Juan Pablo Montoya would drive the No. 42 Texaco/Havoline Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series for the team in 2007.

The specialized web site development and management company worked with the marketing department of the race team to identify the most appropriate format for the microsite and to determine how to best integrate the Spanish language content into the main site.

RACERSITES.COM provided Chip Ganassi Racing with a turnkey solution for the new Spanish microsite, allowing for the management and update of all content via the company’s TOOLBOX site management system. This site maintenance product is user friendly to the extent that it allows website staff – irrespective of their technical aptitude – to keep the news and content up-to-date, not only in the original team site, but also for the Spanish version.

We collaborated with the marketing and communications personnel with the team to land on the idea of a microsite that acts as a portal for the Spanish speaking fans. The first phase was obviously introduced to coincide with Montoya announcement, and plans are already in place to develop it as we head into the new season. Our over-riding aim for this project was to make it simple to use for Chip Ganassi Racing and incorporate it into the main site seamlessly.”

Visitors can access the Spanish site by going directly to http://espanol.chipganassiracing.com, or by clicking the teaser module on the main page of the team’s main site. Users will find the latest race releases and announcements on Montoya, in addition to team owners and driver bios, merchandise, sponsors, and information regarding the team’s involvement in NASCAR."
