Top Rolex Sports Car Team, Michael Shank Racing, Launches New Website
March 22, 2007
Despite emerging as a consistent front-runner in Rolex Sports Car Series competition, Michael Shank Racing never stops working to improve, and that never ending pursuit is demonstrated by the new team website, www.michaelshankracing.com. Developed in conjunction with Minnesota-based RACERSITES.COM, the site went live on Thursday, and boasts an all-new look and feel.
"We strive to have a look that is as professional as we are," said Shank. "From the way our stanchions in our pit box are designed to the look of our cars, we want to stand out, on and off the track. This website is an important way for us to do that out on the web. RACERSITES.COM did a great job, and we're pleased with how everything has developed."
The website features information about Michael Shank Racing team members, drivers, news, and photo tour of the new Michael Shank Racing headquarters east of Columbus, Ohio.
The popular "Marks Take" section, an engaging ongoing narrative of his experiences on and off the track written by Michael Shank Racing driver Mark Patterson, has also been updated and revised, although it still carries the trademark Mark caricature.
"This was an exciting project for us and I feel that we achieved a successful balance between the team's fan base and corporate promotion to capture the essence of the team in both design and functionality," Chuck Tate, of RACERSITES.COM commented. "By using TOOLBOX we can give MSR the control they need and remain within their budget, without any loss of quality."
The Columbus-Ohio-based team, which took a maiden win in Rolex Sports Car Series competition to close out the 2006 season, will return to competition this weekend for round three of the 2007 Rolex Sports Car Series season and the Lindor Industrials Komatsu Grand Prix at Homestead Miami Speedway.
The No. 60 Michael Shank Racing entry of Oswaldo Negri and Mark Patterson is tied for sixth in the Rolex season championship with forty-four points, with Henri Zogaib and Ian James locked in a three-way tie for eleventh in the No. 6 Lexus-Riley. Mark Patterson is second in the Jim Trueman Award standings, with Henri Zogaib in sixth.
